Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full production?
I feel that from the preliminary task to the full
product our filming and editing skills have improved a lot.
In the pre-lim task the camera movements and camera
shots were quite basic and our editing skills were limited however in our final
product our camera shots and movements were much more varied and our editing
skills here also massively improved.
We have learnt how much more effective camera shots,
angles and movements are to the creation of a specific mood or tone in a scene
and also how important they are in putting across a specific attitude towards a
certain character. For example not many people will particularly like our
PSYCHO character as they are a villain and they are always shown in low key
lighting. Also we have learnt that camera shots of a characters feet can create
a sense of enigma.
